How Often Should I Clean The Cage?

Here’s some tips and advice about caring for your dwarf hamster and keeping their cage clean and healthy

Cleaning should be part of your routine that is done…
–    Daily
–    Weekly
–    Monthly

    Daily, as a minimum…
–    Wet/soiled areas of bedding should be scooped out daily.
–    All food bowls and water bottles should be washed out and refilled

    Weekly, as a minimum…
–    The Bedding should be changed
–    The cage should be cleaned with soap and water.

    Monthly, as a minimum…
–    The cage should be washed/disinfected
–    Accessories should be washed/disinfected
